Recommend me a DSLR camera

Nikon D70
Canon 10D
Canon 20D if you can fork the extra cash

I was just walking around the WTC area in NYC and must have seen at least 4 tourists today with the D70. Seems pretty popular around these parts. I didn't see any Canon DSLRs today.

You have to have at least one lens to get any use out of the camera (just in case you didn't know that already...). The Nikon kit lens is pretty good; the Canon kit lens is ok, but I've heard some complaints about it (I'm a Nikon shooter so I wouldn't know).

FWIW, I use a used D1 for US$500 because I'm a poor HS student. Handling beats the DRebel any day, and the build quality is better than the D70 (and by extension the Rebel also to a much greater degree), but the resolution is poor compared to those two (as one would expect for a 1999 model camera).
