Recommend Me a Digital Camera

It's not good to blow your entire budget on the camera alone. There are memory cards, memory card readers, spare batteries, a case, and other accessories to consider. Just something to keep in mind.

Zoom is King

I have the Olympus UZ 700, they have 10x optical zoom compared to the canons which have 3x. Mine is only 2 megapixel but they now come in 3 maybe more. The quality is great and I never had a problem

yea i have teh 720 UZ 3.1 mp 8x zoom the 730-750 have a 10X zoom and teh 750 is 4mp i beleive

The only thing I complain about is laggy response taking a picture, but every digital camera of that era (2 or 3 years old now) were pretty slow. Not sure if they ever improved on that with digicams in general- have they ????
