Couldn't you just use those AOL disks that give you 1,000 free minutes

i use 550access on a semi regular basis in various cities and always get a decent 56Kbps connection...so yeah their site is slow but their service is alright :)

Acmenet

I used them before I went to Roadrunner. $9.95 a month for regular and $12.95 a month for the web accelerator thingy. Never had a problem with em.

poetworld.net is a great isp, been using them for a couple years now. They are 7.95 a month no setup fees or anything. 3 bucks more if you want web accelerator. They've always been great to me, I never have busy signals ever and I only use one number, my connection is pretty good too at 49.2kbps.
