Recommend me a cellphone & service, current one sucks

So right now I have a Samsung 6100 using SprintPCS in the Bay Area. It was great for the first 6 months or so, then suddenly WORST SERVICE EVER!@&#

Post up what you have and whether you are satisfied, etc.

Verizon Wireless and a Motorola v.120c phone works great for me everywhere from santa cruz to Santa Rosa. Signal quality isn't too great in eastern Sacramento county, but still entirely useable.

Service... Cingular 29.99 plan with nokia 3390 for 19.99 with sign up. 1 year contract. Really nice phone. Try getting a nokia 8890, the most exquisite nokia phone available for cingular networks. Costs a lot though, retails $500. Or wait for the nokia 9210 (ebay), handheld pda/phone. Runs windows too! Both are world phones meaning they work in other continents besides the US.

Definitely check out the Nokia 3390, very nice phone, loaded with features and is a bargain at only $19.99 with Cingular service.

At this point I know I want a Nokia, but I want the best possible service -- people have stopped calling me because my current service sucks so much ARGH!!!

I live in sunnyvale....stay away from cingular...crapo service...my dad just bought me a sprint with samsung shc 8500 or what ever it is..its good service..i get service everywhere while my bro and couzin dont

In the Bay Area, Cingular sucks... try Verizon, reception's great for one of my friends.

You have sprint and you get GOOD service?! Mine SUCKS. I can safely say I had atleast 5 dropped calls today .. maybe it's because my phone is digital-only.

fake: what part of the bay area do you live in specifically?

i live in fremont but i frequently travel as far north as san francisco and as far south as san jose...i use AT&T and they have given me great service...i've been using it since july 2001, but my mom has been using it for over a year...

everyone i know on verizon recommends it...even sometimes when i get 2/5 bars of reception like in areas pretty far from main freeways and such, verizon people still get 4/5 bars of reception...

if you're in the bay area, stay away from cinuglar, go with verizon or AT&T...
