Recommend me a book...

I want to learn more about Physics and what not. I've taken a college Physics course in high school, and will be taking a real college physics course this fall.

I remember someone saying something about General Relativity or something. Any books Einstein wrote? Anything is fine, actually.

Stephen Hawking's stuff is good. I really enjoyed "The Universe in a Nutshell".

LOL, as brilliant as Stephen Hawiking no doubt is, I did not find "A Brief History of Time" to be all that clearly written and would hesitate to reccomend it to a noob trying to get a handle on the subject.

The Universe in a Nutshell is pretty simply worded. I'm no physicist myself and I had little trouble grasping most of the concepts in it. At times I did get the sense that he was explaining something in words that probably made much more sense as equations though. It's not dry at all either. There are parts that I thought were pretty funny, like this one section where he's bragging about being in an episode of Star Trek in the course of explaining a concept. I found it to be an easy read overall though I haven't read "A Brief History of Time" and can't say how it compares.

i didn't have that much trouble with a brief history of time and i'm not too smart. i guess it varies by person. good book though.
