Recommend good 2 person games

Well, both the Serious Sames games and No One Lives Forever 2 has a bunch of multiplayer options, including co-op.

They're both FPS', by the way.

There's always the diablo series, Quake Arena, UT series, sports games . . ..

Medal of Honor Allied Assault

Some of the maps are a little big for two players, but most of them work well. My favorite for 1 vs 1 is Stalingrad.
 
Look for a program called BattleLAN. My friends and I use it to play WCIII. It sort of fakes a LAN connection.
