Could be I did, but CDex worked pretty decently yesterday. What would be the easier/easiest way?

I batch converted around 30-40 WAV files, it went pretty quickly. CDex shows you % progress for each conversion.

just a media player, drag drop select convert choose mp3 lame done

+1 for foobar2000.

It will use every core you have running the LAME converter, which you have to obtain separately, and then point to in foobar2000.

Simply add all the files you want to convert to foobar2000, right click, and convert. Done.

foobar OR dbpoweramp (older version before it cost)

dbpoweramp you would highlight the files in windows explorer..right click.. convert.. you get to choose bitrate, etc.. done.

I'm going to have to go to plan B or C. CDex is crashing on me most of the time when I try to select a directory of WAV files. D:

Edit: Installed Foobar2000, and so far so good! I chose a bitrate other than the default 196kbps, being 130 (128 not choosable), and when I play the MP3s in Winamp the box indicating the rate (it usually sits on a number, such as 128kbps), jumps all over the place constantly, but the files sound fine from my computer and my Sansa m250, so I guess they're all right. This isn't music, it's on-the-air spots we use at the radio station I work at, and I've just brought them home (in WAV) so I can get a chance to check them all out. ~128 kbps is quite adequate for that.
