Definetly Agree in KOTOR, cant see your opinion on skies of arcadia, seemed too "kiddie" for me.

I suggets grabbing a game cube for $25 and buying
resident evil 1 remake
Lego star wars 1 + 2

and theres a few more you can grab for like $10 - $20 on gamestops site

Another vote for Planescape: Torment - I played it at least 4 times (different roles) just to see what kinda twist changes would have. Not quite in the mold of PS:T or Baldur's Gate is the Dungeon Siege series - it's more hack-and-slash but fun.

i would definately go for VtM:B. such an original and innovative game, funny, beautiful, challanging, a true decision making game with good action to boot.

also there are many Turn Based Strategy/RPG games that are very fun.

Heroes of Might and Magic series is the obvious choice, but others like Age of Wonders 2 and the more recent Fantasy Wars which i loved (reminded me of Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat but turn based).

for your hardcore RPG go Might and Magic 6 or 7 (one word of caution: MM6 is pre-3DFX!)
and of course KOTOR, BG2 anything Bioware.

RTSs and FPSs may sell well, but RPGs change your life.
