Looking at getting an MP3 player, i really like the ipods but i have a feeling they may be overpriced, as some forum members have mentioned it in the past.
I'm pretty open on the size front.
Looking for at least 1gb. Now i've seen prices on the 1gb flash and they are pushing the 4gb/5gb models. And the 4/5gb models are close to the 20gb models.

I will spend a little more if warrented. So looking for the most bang for my buck in an mp3 player.
Thanks for the help, please give reasoning to your suggestions

*shrugs* I bought a 3g iPod at almost full price and it's been worth every cent twice. Just depends on how much you'll use it and what's important I guess. If you're not sold on an iPod the next one I'd personally choose would be an iRiver H320. I'm probably going to pick one of those up myself. In addition to my iPods of course ;) . Check out mysticriver.net for into on the H320.

If this is for your girlfriend or wife (my bet that it is, just because it's February 13th), just get her an iPod mini in a cool color. Bonus points if you get it custom engraved with something sappy on the back, but it's probably too late for that now. Women in general like technology that is trendy, cool looking, and easy to use. The mini meets all three of those criteria.

If this MP3 player is for you, though, consider looking at the iRiver model line instead. It's not quite as trendy or easy to use, but you'll get more for your money.
