So, that's what I would like to do. I drive a 2004 Honda Accord, and from the research I've done (admitedly, I did this research a long while back), it's difficult to change the headunit because of the stereo panel etc. Does anyone here have any experience with changing the headunit in an 04-06 Accord?
It's not too difficult now. They have a kit that replaces that whole panel, but the kit isn't too great. You lose climate functions and it doesn't look as visually appealing. They also have a kit that goes in the pocket below the factory unit. I've seen some people custom retrofit the stock face plate with a new headunit, but that takes alot of work.
If you're just after hardwiring an iPod, Crutchfield sells a thing that connects to the back of the stock unit. There is also one from Dice, Dension, and a few others.
FM iPod linkups suck from my experience with them. I've tried 3 or 4 different ones and they all suck.
