I've been babysitting for a beautiful 2-year-old, and am running out of things to do with her... so far, I've taken her to Chuck E. Cheese (big mouse scared her half to death), Peter Piper Pizza, Toys R Us, and Boba World (she loves the milk tea boba). I live in Los Angeles, and am wondering if you have any suggestions regarding activities we can do together and places we can go together?

I've heard a place called "Child's Play" is good, and would like to check that out (apparently they have the pens with hundreds of plastic balls there).

Thank you!

EDIT: Pictures of Yas (I think she looks like Boo from Monsters, Inc.):

Tickle tickle!

Posing for the camera.

CHEEEEEEEEEEEESE!!! (cutest picture ever)

Paddling pool... how much are those? That sounds like fun... :)

Zoo is a good idea... I think entry to the LA zoo is only $10 or so...

Usually they just charge the price for one adult.
Don't forget your swimmers!! 'swimming diaper'
I mean her swimmers unless you need some too?
And make sure its family swim time where all the kids should be under 5 cause its mayhem when the older ones are in there

Go to a park = free
play hide and seek = free
Let them pick flowers (dandlions) from the yard, = free

True... older kids have a tendancy to "take over", especially in those situations. Thanks for the info!

Free is good, woowoo... I think there's a nice park near UCLA I can take her too. Can 2-year-olds play Hide & Seek? I guess we'll see, thank you for the recommendations... :)

My 2-year-old daughter likes to go for walks around the neighborhood. She likes to go to the park and play on the toys. She likes to fly kites. But most of all, she likes to go to the mall and shop for clothes (no thanks to her mom and grandma).

Flying a kite is a good idea... I think they sell them at Toys R Us. I'm definitely going to take her to the park. She likes to shop already?? :Q I tried taking Yas to the mall, but she got bored...

Get some Teletubbies tapes from the library. They are mesmerizing to toddlers.

If that fails, you could try playing "How many dimes can you fit in your mouth" but for some reason whenever I play that game, I'm never asked back to babysit. Very effective!

Teletubbies scare me. :( Barney, maybe? Have 2-year-olds outgrown Barney already?

Oh yeah...

It's so cute how she takes the clothes of the rack, holds them up to herself to see how they look on her, and then hangs the clothes back up.

I may have to get a second and third job when she gets older and starts to actually want to buy the stuff!

Heh... tried that, she managed to dip all the crayons, colored pencils and scissors in glue... I think I'll stick with a dry erase board next time. :)

Thank you, djheater... I've never been to the Long Beach Aquarium, and this might be a wonderful opportunity to check it out myself. LOL @the ice cream store... maybe we'll go there after the pet store...

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions... I'm going to print out the thread for future reference. :)

The park is a good idea... I wonder if there are any in the LA area that are safe with a "kiddie play land." :) I guess I'm just worried the big kids will run her over...
