Recommend a TV Tuner

Whats a good TV Tuner to buy? What are the best brands to look for?

Make sure you get a tuner card that does the encoding with the hardware on the tuner card, otherwise your recordings will have problems. I have a Hauppauge PVR-150, which is the industry standard of sorts.

Hauppauge PVR-150 (comes with a remote) or the Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE (no remote included).

The MCE also tunes FM radio stations but comes with no operating software (it assumes you have the MCE on your XP).

Same Here, I have a 250 and love it, but would suggest a 150 (it didnt exist when I purchased my card)

I agree the 250 was a great card. Runs crisp, clean and smooth.

The PVR150 wasnt out when I got my 250.

(Edited quotes to reflect my situation as it is similar)
