The guy who installed my tint said 3M was terrible - then again he sold something else, so I'm not sure how accurate it was.

I paid $150/car with lifetime warranty - some of the quotes seen here seem a little high.

here in az tint doesnt last too long if it is shitty quality, the sun rips it up. my friend is a solar gard dealer, but he is testing the 3m as well. so far he says its holding up fairly well. my truck sits in the sun all day long (i dont have a garage or carport) and the tint is 6 years old. still looks good, no color fade at all.

He's a moron. You have to qualify to carry 3M tint, he probably couldn't.
 
SolarGuard is fine, I've had it on several vehicles. None of the tint shops here have 3M. I guess I shouldn't call him a moron, just that he's a salesman and they tend to trash whatever a competitor carries.
