Has anyone been following the total realism mod for Rome:Total war? My brother has shown me lots of screenshots, and it looks like a really cool mod.
 
i currently have the latest rome total realism, think its version 5.4?? Its great they really hammer out the balancing issues that are apparent in the vanilla version of total war. Add a lot of new areas east of the Mediterranean and new units. Version 6 is supposed to be the new uber version should be coming out anytime now. Check out rometotalreaslim.com.
 
I'm thinking Rome: Total War is sounding good. I'd already heard it was pretty good and I like games that have enough of a following that a mod community pops up around it. I'll give it a try. In the mean time, I got Alpha Centari running again. 😀
 
My favorite 2 games of all time from this genre:

Starcraft
Heroes of Might and Magic III (especially multiplay, soooo fun with ure buddies)
