Nerds don't like Sandals because to wear them they'd occasionally have to cut their toenails.

Agree.. boat shoes, no socks, sunglasses... and act like you own a boat. I hate wearing socks with shorts - so it's either boat shoes or sandals. Boat shoes end up looking a lot nicer. Be sure to get odor eaters, though.

I didn't know they still made those.
They were the rage in the early 80's (maybe not in the US?).

i didnt know they were the rage, i got them cause my dad always had a pair and they are comfortable as anything, im 22 so i woudl have missed that 80s thing and ive never watched miami vice so dont know what you mean there,

they are good with any article of clothing and will work in almost any social situation, great all around shoe

Well I don't know about all articles of clothing but kidding aside, they do go well with Kahki Shorts. Just don't wear a pair of socks with them.

I like sandals as long as they have an ankle strap to hold them on. I've got some I hardly wore because they didn't have one and always feel like I'm gonna fling them off.

Oh, I've got boat shoes I still wear too (Timberlands). They never wear well with me though. After awhile, my foot always tends to 'lean' over the side. If that makes sense.
