Recommend a science fiction book to me

Altered Carbon
The Scar
Consider Phlebas
Engine of the Gods
Souls in the Great Machine
Armor
Starship Troopers
A Fire Upon the Deep

I guess I should mention what I already read:

Foundation Series
Ender's Game
Dune
Hitchhiker's guide (all 4 books)
Most of Harry Harrison's books

damnit, i came here to say enders game... Guess it's too obvious huh..

I remember being really into A Brave New World, even though at the moment I can't really recall much about it... Maybe I should take this as an excuse to re-read it.

I can't justify recommending anyone give money to that douchebag nut-case Orson Scott Card.

You have to admit that Ender's Game, at the very least, is an awesome book.

Need something for my new Kindle - please throw a few recommendations my way

Iain M. Banks writes of a far-future cosmos with numerous civilizations at vastly different levels and types of development; of a growth of a mankind into a technological utopia, where the ultimate question remains "so what do I do now?" and "in what style?". He writes this, of course, much better than I do, and the only caveat is that he writes for adults, throwing in a dark side of his imagination at times.

I enjoyed Ender's Game... heck, I enjoyed the rest of the Ender series until his homophobia started to shine through in the Bean books, but after he advocated the overthrow of the Californian government for legalizing gay marriage, I can't justify spending another damn dime on anything he gets royalties from.

Good Omens - It's basically a spoof, but I really enjoyed it. It's written by Neil Gaiman, one of my favorite authors, and Terry Pratchett, creator of the Discworld series.

Lucifer's Hammer
the Mote in God's Eye
Inferno by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle

For I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison

A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter Miller Jr.

Creatures of Light and Darkness
the Doors of His Face, the Lamp of His Mouth by Roger Zelazny

Within Sci Fi there are so many different kind of directions to go to that I think you need to specify more.

My favorites:
Hitchhickers guide to the galaxy
Enders Game
Issac Asimov Books
The Sirens of Titans(Its more of a dry comedy book but it deals with sci fi..KURT VONNEGUT FTW)

If you want easy reading and like star wars, they are fun for a younger read..don't know how old you are.
