I use ODB Scan Pro

I do find its interface much more elegant than others. Works well with my $25 scanner from Amz.

Hm. I dunno, I just hit the buy link from boomhower's link. It now shows as shipped, but delivery isn't until middle of november. Amazon craziness.

So, is everyone using that 'engine link' iphone app? Seems to not have very good ratings. But I guess there isn't a version of torque for ios..

That's because you bought through amazon but not FROM amazon... :p

For iPhones:

Scanner at Amazon

iOS app

You can't use the bluetooth version with iOS, you have to use WIFI. This is the set-up I use and it works great.

All of these seem to come from china and will take 2 weeks to arrive. Just a heads up for anyone else ordering these.

It sounds like this is the only option for ios, since it has to be wifi. There are others on amazon that appear to be the exact same thing, elm327 with wifi, but are $12.

Friggin frustrating.

Edailydeals was the only amazon shipper at the time.

They shipped it to the wrong address. According to tracking:

"undeliverable as addressed"

My address is simple, residential, saved in amazon.. no reason for any of that to happen. It went to another city, so I suspect they put in the wrong zip code.

I sent an email when I first ordered with a question about realistic shipping times and the language barriers were massive.

If you live in california, you can't go to autozone and have them check your CEL for free. Instead you have to buy a scanner in order to read the code. California even went as far to say that if you buy a scanner in california, you cannot return it even if you don't open the package.

I got a code pulled at Pepboys for free last year. Is this a new law?

Did they write up an invoice with a $0 total on it? Pepboys is a little different from Autozone, Kragen etc. so they have more leeway since one of the service techs could easily bring his tool over to your car and pull the code for you, a little bit different and probably still not legal in commiefornia.
