Recommend a quiet cd burner?

Yamaha burners are the loudest mfrs ive ever heard. They even shake the floor when youre burning something. But yeah theyre awesome, i can take the noise for performance trade.

The 40x CDRW in my Dell 4550 is pretty quiet. I think it is a Samsung drive.

I vote for my Sony DRU-500AX...quiet, and burns nicely at 24x.
As an added bonus it does DVD burning, too!

Samsung 332B here, other than the light of course, I have to put my ear up to it to see if it's indeed running or burning

I have teh 40x it dosent make any noise despite what you all say
