My video card just toasted and I'm in the market for another. I mainly play World of Warcraft right now. Can you recommend a replacement? Would like to spend no more than 350. Thanks.

If you have the money just get a 4890. Itll last you a while. You might even use it with yur next uprgade as well depending on when u do it.

If my card fried right now I'd be looking at a 4850, 4770, GTS 250 to get me by until the new DX11 cards are released.

If the rumors are even close these new cards are going to seriously dominate. GTX 300 with 480-512 shaders? Massive. How long do you typically keep your video cards? If you typically go 3 years or more a GTX 275 is a great buy @ $200.

Not sure how long I will keep it. I am due for a rebuild in the next year or so but whatever card I buy will get moved to my 2nd box and get used for a while so I want it to have some guts. Looks like there are some pretty good options at around 200.

The Radeon 4890 looks like the best $200 option right now. It will certainly be a large improvement over an 8800GTS 640.

What PSU do you have? Might be the reason why your other card fried. It will also help determine what card you can get.
