Dude, everyplace you go there is going to be natural disasters. Plus, when was the last time florida was hit with 4 Hurricanes in 2 months. Do you actually think it will happen again in your life time? Also if water in your living room is the worst you got out of this, you are lucky. Think of the people with NO home right now.
 
missouri is ok
we have an air force base just east of town (whiteman, B2 base)

we get a few tornados , but not that many
