Good day Anandtechers!

Well, what my thread title wasn't giving the full info for what I'm looking for. 😀 Basically I'd appreciate any input into any specific Micro ATX case out there. Don't need anything fancy, I just need it to be small and high quality. So any manufacturers, models, or sites where I could have a look-see would be great! Thanks to all who have looked and/or replied to my thread!

Here is a link to several. I am partial to the Fong Kai FK-611 because it is one of the few I have seen with an additional rear fan which is important if you have temperature concerns.

I don't know about the sound levels, but you can pick up the Antec SX830 at Onvia right now for less than $86 shipped. If you're concerned about sound, take out the two rear 80mm fans it comes with and install four 80mm Panaflo L1A's. With the fans and the case, it will probably run you what the FK-320 would with shipping.

ONvia has sx1040 in stock for $123 shipped. Look at the interiors and you might like it over the sx840. If you are concerned about sound then stay away from the Fong Kai. I have one and it is not near as quiet as the reviews suggest. Do a search and you will see some interesting comments. The case is great otherwise.

Superpower also makes nice stout cases, a little hard to find. Their 500 series micro-atx have a little beefier psu's than most, rear fan mounts and several different bezels. Axion has the zephyr style...

I think you are out of luck on the sx 1040 series in black from the factory. There is the sx1030B with the 300watt but you said you wanted 400. Here is a link to Directron black cases. You could upgrade the sx1030 to a 400 but they charge $50 to do that. Might be better to get the case with the 300 and buy the 400 separately and then sell the 300 to a friend. Onvia has the black for about $99 shipped.

BTW I have the sx1030 in both beige and black and the black is the winner hands down in looks!

Hehe, MicroEngineer took over my post! It's all good though. Thanks for your input guys. The Anandtech forum along with all its members are making me broke with all this saving!

Sorry brinstar117 I didn't mean to impose. :frown: I was just hoping to get some information, and you got a good topic going. Thanks for all the info fellow Anandtecher's. These forums have been a big help even if I just joined yesterday 😀

Ack! Sorry brinstar 😀 The Enermax CSX888DMX at Directron looks pretty good because you get 2 5.25" and 2 3.5" external bays, plus it looks like the side panel slides off fairly easy. You also get the Enermax 250w PS which doesn't suck at all. All this for $29 plus shipping if you can take the "stylish" look of it 😉
