Currently using WAZE, and although I like it, I do notice it is not super polished, and gives me wrong turns from time to time.
What are other users using for GPS on their IPhone? I am a city driver (Chicago).

Here is another vote for Navigon. I love that it stores the maps on the iPhone. Also, if you have a 3G iPad, you don't even need a data connection to use Navigon!

Yep, the cool thing is that there are add-ons for the app too. For instance, you can add the real time traffic updater so Navigon can calculate the best route based on the current traffic situation. There is even a red light camera add-on to tell you when you are approaching an intersection with cameras. Very cool app.

I've had a lot of good experiences with TomTom in the past, and they keep the app up to date with their new map data. I didn't like MotionX at the time since it was very slow to reroute if you missed a turn, didn't have proper avoidances, and wanted me to do things like take the HOV lane even though I was the only person in the car (this then caused the app to freak out and try to route me through emergency vehicle only areas to get back on the HOV).

TomTom is also stores stuff locally without needing to cache data, and has addons like RealTime traffic, et al. I think TomTom and Navigon are the go-to's for a full local-store GPS app. MotionX might be viable if you want to save some cash and only use GPS from time to time.

Navigon or TomTom. I bought Navigon North America because it was on sale for 29$ and I love it. Best GPS I've used thanks to the iPhone 4 screen...
