Recommend a good wireless router

I'm on my 3rd crappy router (went old school - an old linksys flashed with dd-wrt) and I continue to have a weird problem where I seem to need to reboot my router every other day. Could it be possible that I just have too many devices?

Here's what I have connected
-tivo - ethernet
-ps3 - ethernet
-imac -ethernet
-macbook - wifi
-roku- ethernet
-powerline AV = bedroom tivo + appleTV
-hp laptop -wifi
-nook color as tablet - wifi

The ethernet / powerline hookups work fine but I'm constantly having the problem where the wifi networks listed as available but I can't connect unless I reboot the router

Any suggestions? I'm using a 802.11g router but all of my devices are N compatible so I suppose an upgrade's in order. I used a $30 belkin and $60 netgear before, guessing I shouldn't cheap out again

Thanks!

EDIT: Question - dual band: worth the premium?

This is a good Router.

There is also might be an issue with your Internet Bandwidth. If it is too low it might Not provide good service to so many devices that include few Media bandwidth "Hogs" regardless of the Wireless Router.

they have a 450 version of that router now! eats up the entire 2.4ghz band. 25 megabyte/second (16.5 for 300) all day long. i don't have any 450 devices or i'd pay the extra $23 for the 450 buffalo - i think the 3 antenna design could increase 150/300 and 450 signal with mimo

Thanks guys, I'll definitely keep buffalo in mind. Kinda jumped the gun and ordered an airport extreme refurbished for $80 shipped so I jumped at it, especially since I mostly use macs and time capsule might be useful. Seems comparable in price as a refurb to other gigabit/dual band simultaneous routers. If it's awful I'll return it and go buffalo.

Disabling uPnp now, thanks for that tip!

i find that cheap budget routers can work great with a couple 3 users on, pulling steady traffic. but once you have like 4+ people surfing the web with someone watching netflix and another guy torrenting and someone on their iphone, then yea its common for cheap routers to take a dump on your desk.

that buffalo router seems excellent.
