Recommend a good song to walk/run to.

I'm getting pretty tired of listing to the same mix for the last 2 or 3 months during my workouts. I need to add some new songs to the mix. Recommend anything with a good beat to walk or run to.

I have no idea if we have similar taste in music, but I've been listening recently while walking:
Dropkick Murphys - As One
Buck Cherry - Porno Star
Jonathan Coulton - Mandelbrot Set

Yeah not quite my taste :)

In terms of my actual tastes in music I tend to like classical music, world music, folk music and the like.

For running or walking though I prefer cheap pop music with a good beat. Some of the best stuff to work out to is actually really bad music. lol

Eye of the Tiger - Survior

If it is good enough for Rocky to work out to... its good enough for you.

Huh thanks a lot of that 8 but era stuff it perfect now that I think about it!

The suggestion made by ViRGE made it into my bests collection.

Jazz Jackrabbit 1 - Medivo (YouTube kind of crushes it due to the low bitrate; the real thing sounds more vibrant).

Unreal Tournament - Razorback (Skaven is the man).

Razorback is simply one of the unrivaled tracks for cardio.

I usually get tired of vocals really fast because it's too repetitive, you know what lyrics are coming and it just kills the "sprint" buzz (at least for me), that's why I prefer instrumentals and non-vocals instead.

One of my favorite songs to run is the Theme from the movie Speed.

I know you mentioned Classical, but this is more orchestral. Get's you really hyped while running! You feel like you can't slow down... or you'll blow up.

I actually made my own version because the song kinda slows down after a bit. All I did was splice two different themes from the soundtrack.
