Noni if you want Italian.

Does this place have an online menu? I tried googling Noni and couldnt find anything.

Ya know, I completely spaced. Despite being there twice I forgot how it was spelled. Nanni. It's a great spot that isn't frequented as much by the tourists.

For Italian, the GF and I enjoyed this place:

http://www.supperrestaurant.com/

this place looks nice.....it made the list, thanks!

Be sure to get there around 6:00 if you can. Earlier the better.

The place is not super pricey but the wait to get in can easily be 1-3 hours.

Yeah, we were probably looking at eating around 5-530 or so.

Found it. Looks good - made the list as well, thanks!

Per Se
Maybe Gramercy Tavern

I don't make it to NYC that often, so there are probably a lot of less known options that are excellent. Per Se is an experience to behold though, imo.

You forgot Jean Georges and Daniel. Might as well add those in as well.

Well the winner was Nanni. Thanks for the suggestion Legend. My wife picked it because of the menu - lots of choices. Personally I would have went with Supper/Frank's but I got overruled by the wife.

I thought the Fondu place sounded neat (and romantic) unfortunately its in Queens.
