Recommend: A good color laser printer

We just got hold of some equipment funds, so we've decided to purchase a color printer. We've had very good experience w/ HP LaserJets (B&W). Currently using HP 4000N and 4240N. Don't want to buy inkjet because they get messy and dry out over time. I currently have the Xerox 8550DP and HP 3800N in mind for the color laser printers but don't know which one to get. In terms of toner catridge price, they are equivalent. Appreciate any suggestions or comments. Budget is ~$1K.

I recommend the Xerox for color. HP is better at monochrome.

Believe it or not Epson has a nice laser out now.
