I'm in the market for a new gamepad..... please let me know your thoughts. I want something that will have good performance compared to console gamepads, but without breaking the bank. I plan to use it mostly for sports games.

Thanks!!

I use a p880 too, d-pad, dual sticks, 8 buttons, like they said its a great pad.

I also have a Microsoft SideWinder FreeStyle Pro. Its D-pad is only good for driving games, its positioned at an angle, coupled with it's smoothness, it makes it harder to just press right and not right-down. Buttons are fine, and it has a tilt feature whch is useless in all games.

I have a Saitek R440 too. Amazing fun for all drive 'em ups.

you can get a Logitech dual action at your local bestbuy for $12. myself and about 4 other friends use the same gamepad for emulation across our colleges LAN. no complaints, widely supported, great drivers, well made.

I like my xbox controller best. I used this article as a reference. I didn't solder or use an led. Just cut the end off and put on the usb connector used electrical tape. Real easy and works great.
