Recommend a dishwasher under $400

I am trying to buy a decnet dishwasher, a quiet model wish a few features but a low price, nothing over $300.
Please let me know what you think.

Also let me know a decent retailer?

The Kenmore UltraWash models are superb performers for the money. Not too loud at the low-end either.

Kenmore. Who else is there?

Edit: Don't get the non-UltraWash models. I beleive they are made by GE, as opposed to Whirlpool, and the low-end GEs suck compared to Whirlpool.

I just got a GE washer and it will clean any dish no matter how long I leave it out with food on it.

Here's your deal!

I have a portable version (on wheels, with a cabinet and a sink hook-up) similar to this one, but it's about 2 years old, so the panel looks a bit different. It works very well.

Ha ha, I just noticed the Sears tag line, "Where Else?," on the web page, after I just typed "Who else is there?" in my last post.

Is the Kenmore Ultrawash the same as the Knemore Elite?

Go to your local Sears, they have the best selection of appliances.

Some energy efficient appliances have rebates ranging from $25 to $200, so try and get an energy efficient machine.

Kenmore, Whirlpool, Amana, and Maytag are all good brands I would consider.

Maybe they've gotten better recently. The ones I remember were horrible. They were loud and they seemed to miss entire areas of the inside with their spray.

I'll just say, UltraWash has not let my family down.

Usually if you apply for a new Sears credit card you receive a 10% off discount on your first purchase, so if you combine that with a SALE PRICE and some ENERGY rebates you could walk away paying only $200 - $250.

Elite is a higher line than the plain old UltraWash.

My step-mom has a Kenmore Elite DW, and it is damn well near silent, in addition to cleaning better than anything I've seen before it. You can't even tell it's running if the Microwave, or her small table-top fan, is running. If you can double your budget, you won't be the least bit sorry with a Kenmore Elite. (EDIT: Oops, make that triple the budget!)
