Recommend a decent low-price camcorder?

I am looking to upgrade my camcorder, been using a hi8 for many years and want something sleeker and easier to convert and burn to DVD video. I don't think I want to shell out the cash for the mini dvd burner type of camera.

Anybody know if this Panasonic PVGS9 is any good?

I understand where you are coming from. I am currently working on splitting apart 2 hour long video segments that I transferred from my HI8 camera. Not fun at all...
