If I had to go back to using a cut tree, this is about the only stand currently in production I'd get:

There used to be a very nice stand built in CenCal that was the sturdiest thing I've ever had...but after a lengthy battle with Home Depot for stealing the design, (they won...then lost in appeal) they stopped production.

That sounds like the name for an epic Christmas album. Guitars were broken in the recording of that. :D

Savatage turned it into making a living out of it when they changed to Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It pays, I guess.
