Recommend a Camera ---some specs

I want something very small (pocket-sized) but with a large screen that is in the 200-250 range

i'm not even sure of what all the bells and whistles are anymore, but i know the last camera i got that was nice and small took the crappiest pics so i am looking to you, AT

I think the Canon SD4000 or SD4500 would be the best camera in that range. 3" LCD and pocketable. Has a f/2.0 aperture lens so low-light quality is about as good as you can get until the S95 $400 range.

How so? Did you even try? That site is hella easy to use. As far as your main question, imo just about anything in the canon point and shoot line is good. Nikon and Olympus and Panasonic also make good ps cameras but imo the menus and UI isnt as good as canon. Why dont you go to a photo shop or a bestbuy and look at some point and shoots to see what you would like?

i find that the canon powershots are still too big

For P&S, anything but Canon is a mistake. I shoot Nikon DSLR's for the obvious reasons, but my recent experience with the S95 (along with conversations with others in the biz) confirms that those who know shoot Canon when using P&S.
