Recommend a Backup Software

Hello,

I have a Sunbeamtech docking station connected to my main rig that I use for backing up data to my HDD's. I usually turn the dock on and backup my stuff every week (any new downloads, photographs, documents and music) from my main rig. Now while backing up I have to manually go to separate folders and select the files which I want to backup every week and this gets kind of tiresome when I have multiple files to backup. Thus, I was looking for a software that when configured will search a specified folder on my main rig and if it finds any new sub-folders or files in that specified folder would then automatically copy it and back them up to my HDD dock.

I haven't used any back-up software ever so any help regarding this would be really appreciated.

TIA

I looked into SyncBack and it seems perfect for my backup needs. Will give it a try later this evening. Thanks guys for the suggestions! 🙂

When doing back ups, is there a downside to after doing your first back up, only doing incremental back ups to reflect only new files and/or file changes?

Not all of the back up programs allow for this, so that might be why some people don't back up in this fashion, but other than that, is there a good reason to not take this course of action?
