I like only PC games where there is no muiltiplayer or online play. Or if a game has both, I don't play the online portion as I suck at it. All the other players get angry at me and I have to quit.
I heard the PS3 has some games like I would play. Anybody have any recomendations for single play games for the PS3? Thanks.

Call Of Duty 4 (short single player campaign)
Devil May Cry 4 ( must have purchase)
Uncharted Drakes Fortune (another great title)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (EPIC..must have)

In my opinion those are *my* personal choices. But there are many great titles.

Any combination of the above 4 titles I listed, I think you would be completely satisfied.

I just picked up Heavenly Sword.. it's been a blast so far.

Disgaea 3 is out tomorrow if you're interested in SRPGs.

The games above I'd agree with too.

Yea, I forgot all about Heavenly Sword. While it has great graphics, great gameplay...it can seem too short for some people.

I played and finished it, and loved every minute of it.

Devil may cry 4, metal gear 4, GTA4, if you like sports..tiger woods is awesome and nhl08 is cool. the '09 versions of both those games are coming out soon too. Heavenly Sword rocks as well.

Almost all of the PSN games. The PixelJunk games are definitely a must.

Ratchet & Clank is very fun. DMC4 got boring after a while.

If you like sports games I highly (very highly) recommend MLB 08: The Show.

SPOILER

I cannot speak for Rachet $ Clank as I have never played it.

But Devil May Cry 4 I finished 4 times on different difficulties. And while it can seem to get a little boring once you get to the point of backtracking with Dante....it got more exciting for me. Because some of the bosses gave me a rough time while I was using Nero. But then you get the almighty Dante to go and save Nero while killing the same bosses over again with more powerful and different weapons. Especially Pandora's Box :)

So yea, some say its boring after a while, But the majority I have seen thinks the game gets better after you are midway through. I know I did.

Hmm, well I'll have to give it another whirl. I got stuck and just couldn't find the desire to go back and play it. I haven't even gotten Dante yet, so I should at least try and get to that point I suppose.

I heard the Asia version can't be played online and that the JP version can be played with a US account. That being said, everything I've read has said the game needs a wheel to play well.

WOW...You didn't make it to Dante ? Dude...you are seriously missing out. I thought you got bored with it *after* using Dante. But if you didn't get that far yet, Id be willing to bet you will not be bored with it :)

Yes it can be irritating in some points, but I encourage you...don't give up on it. You wont regret it at all. It is very very awesome in the second half.

EDIT: You get to use Dante in Mission 13 I believe. What mission did you stop playing on ?

Ridge Racer Online Play = GAY, there are 2 situations

Good players vs Good players = Ram battle
Good players vs Bad players = Reverse Nitrous (WIN) about a lap ahead. with 350km/h average for 2nd,3rd lap.

Honestly,, Fk online play. I was all excited about online play with ridge racer,,disappointed

You don't NEED a wheel, but it makes the game feel smoother on the straights. However, it's an arcade racer, Much easier to play on pad because the very minor adjustments to lines made possible on the wheel doesn't account for much.

Arcade type multiplayer racing is pointless if you can't disparage your opponent face to face afterwards.

Combo freak ? Maybe I am. But I still absolutely love the game.

But do you really need to be calling people names because you cannot learn the combo's and they can ? The combo's are a cinch to perform.

As for the rest of your post. Grow up.

You are a hypocrite. Being a gamer, yes you're all grown up now. So what if I have a somewhat childish demeanor when it comes to posting online; that says everything about me right?. Go F yourself.

If it was between you and a hooker laden with all known STDs, I'd save her knowing she pobably has more talent than a bigot.

How can you save a hooker, when you cannot even save yourself.... from making an ass out of yourself ?

Oh sure, fish for empathy from the shallow masses. No need standing up for yourself when you can easily take the coward's position and mindset. You're still childish and naive if you think you can be higher/mightier than anyone else by being "non-confrontational", and on the safest of all mediums, the internet. You're a virtual pussy here and a real one out there. Just die now, and save others the trouble of trampling you.
