recomendations for cheap after market HP printer carts

My HP 712C's black ink cart just ran out and really dont feel like spending $30 for not even $1 worth of ink. Are there any decent places online who sell aftermarket ink carts that are not _total_ crap or run out quickly?
 
I refill mine on my 855C and Photosmart 1000.

The trick is to find good ink. Not all ink is created equal. I get mine from a dealer at the local computer shows.

I couldn't live with buying cartriges. To give you some idea, my wife goes through about 10,000 sheets of paper a year.
