Recomendation for upgrades?

Here is what I got now.

Enlight 7237 300w case
Iwill kk266 motherboard
256pc133 Kingston ram
20 gig ibm deckstar hd
Duron 750
Leadtek gfmx2 32mb agp
56x cd-rom

What if any upgrades would be worth it for the base system I have now?

If I get a new processor am I going to be limited by the video, or new video and be limited by the cpu?

I know the Iwill is able to handle processors up to 1.4? but will the 300w ps be enuf?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Does it feel too slow for your needs? Are you playing games and having to cut the res/details down or is it running jerky? Or do you just like to play and upgrade for fun 🙂

You could put a nice Athlon XP in there but you would be somewhat limited by the graphics. The motherboard is still excellent, I only recently go rid of my KK266 to go over to DDR.

KK266 for Product No is 35103A, BIOS Date Code: Jun.22.2001
1.Added to support "Palomino" processor.

The kk266 boards now support the new XP cpu's
Myself i have (2) kk266-r boards, with 1.2G Athlons and they run great, the only upgrades i would do to your system; cpu, and video

First choice would be cpu, speeds everything up, then if you think you'll use the power and/or find a good deal get a Geforce3-ti200. After these upgrades that system will be pretty much maxed out, sit back and enjoy it.

The power issue may become a factor after the cpu and video are upgraded, but a new cpu should be fine with your current 300watts.

Actually been a decent ride, but gets a bit jerky at times playing games.

More curious than anything else, wouldn't necessarily have to upgrade at all.

Thanks, I didn't think to look for the bios update

Will have to take a look at the processors - is there a big difference between the xp and the athlon?
