  • AMP6 and AMP6-BASIC are both based on the Tripath TA2020 chip
  • Two analogue inputs/outputs (stereo).
  • The output power is around 2x25W RMS maximum, into 4 ohms at 10% THD+N. Up to about 2X15W, the THD+N is below 0.1%.
  • Audiophile sound quality
  • For both models hole mounted components are used, and a few, relatively large, surface mount power diodes.
  • All resistors are metal film type.
  • The boards are high quality, made with double weight (2OZ) 70um thick copper, holes plated through, and component print on both sides
AMP6-BASIC is now also available ASSEMBLED

If your speakers aren't sensitive, a T-Amp isn't going to get them loud... I mean normally loud, yes. Loud loud, no.

normally loud will most likely be fine as they will be set up reletivily close to anyone listning to them

if all else fails i have a spare AVR and a spare 2 channel amp that could be used. however the idea was to not have to use those as they are large and space is limited. Also havent decided on speakers yet i have a few options from new/used to recycling ones i currently have

THIS would work, don't know where all the $35 shipped ones went though.

Just need a PSU. search "meanwell s350" should be less than $45 and could power 3-4 boards. edit 24v one

Hey guys, thought i'd jump on this train!

I need to drive a couple smaller speakers (maybe 6-inch woofer + tweeter) from a computer. This is being used in a training room that has a couple speakers mounted on the wall which terminate at a set of RCA jacks on a wall panel. I'm wanting to use the computer to drive those speakers. Accordingly, sound quality is not the top priority, as long as there's no major background noise in the signal.

This would work, though I wouldn't mind the price being even lower to be honest. However, I need this to output to a set of male RCA plugs.

Could I just get a T-amp like that and cut the ends off of an RCA cable, strip the wire back, and voila?

A standard stereo receiver would work just fine too, though being a bit large, but availability of a cheap enough one is questionable.

Well, I'm less concerned with the amp and more concerned with the wiring. Why would there be RCAs when RCAs are not power connectors? It sounds like the speakers are powered and require only a signal to work.

Interesting point; I guess I could pull that RCA panel off and take a look behind it. I tried running the PC straight to the RCA jacks and it didn't work. Then I ran it through an old boombox-style stereo (with its own inputs - one of those old Aiwa units) and ran the speaker-level outputs to the RCA jack (it was hooked up like this previously) and it worked.
