Maybe you should just get a component sub and point teh sub down at teh floor by turning teh box to face it.

Do a search for head to head tests with the SVS 25-31 or 20-36 vs. the HTF-2. The SVS comes out on top each time.
However, the VTF-3 can more than hold its own, but costs $849.
IMO, for ~ $500, the 25-31 PCi is the best bang for the buck.
When I get a new sub, it'll probably be the 20-36 just because I like my lows.![]()

I know but he wanted to stay below $500. I love the SVS. But with shipping on their cheapest model you're at about $575.
Yes, it is, very good. I got mine from a reseller on ebay about a year ago which saved $50 off the HSU site price, and included the rca cable you will need. I'm sure he's still around.Originally posted by: JBAR
