Recieved Neutral Feedback cuz Battery Was Not Charged?

i sold a cell phoen on ebay for $10!!! Cheap lil old cell phone, auction ended, guy sent me the $15 with shipping, I shipped out the next day, he recieved it the day after that 92 days after auction ended) and left me a neutral feedback without messaging me.... When i messaged him asking what was exactly wrong and that i could have refunded his $ if he had just let me know about a problem before evaluating me he said the battery was dead.. I said of course it was... I SOLD THE PHONE AS IS WITHOUT A CHARGER!!!!! His reasoning is that in my auction i claimed the phone is in perfect workign condition... and to him that means he gets it, pops in a sim card, turns it on and uses it, if it doesn't turn on it is not in working condition even if it is cuz the battery is drained.....

he just wrote me again out of no where even though he indicated in his last email he was done talking to me. at 4am!
"why dont u learn how to spell ur childish calling someone a complete idiot. You said fone worked which it should have even if for two hours and yes it might have done me some good. Besides when i sell a fone its completely charged.
I'm not saying that its ur fault that theres no charger nor am i saying what fone looks like.
Once again u said fone worked witch it doesnt. u should of said fone worked previously but now doesnt due to DEAD battery (DUH) u should contact ebay if have problems "

Feb 27th -wrote me today saying he contacted ebay because of my "lanaguage" in one of my emails where i called him a "complete idiot" lol
Buyers Feedbacks

recap
1) sold $10 phone ebay without a charger
2) was left neutral feedback cuz battery was not charged
3) buyer claims therefor phone doesn't work, i should have stated in auction phoen needs charging...
4) filed dispute with ebay, highly doubt they will remove ith, might have to go through squaretrade
5) haven't left him feedback yet

6)now left him negative

Must see auction.

But from what you're saying, he's just trying to get a few $$$ back for being cheap.

not even!!!!!!!!!! he has refused to work out the deal with me, i suggested that we could have worked aroudn the problem, find a solution, refund his money, etc but he does nto wish for any of that in order to retract his feedback, like a broken record he just keeps repeating battery isn't charged so phone isn't working like i stated and that's that

Sounds like a douche. Should have waited to give his feedback for your own.

I wonder if he can work it out with ebay.

i have not left him feedback yet. I told himt hat since he is nto willign to work with me ont he deal, communication was poor until after he left the feedback, and his idea of what a working phoen is is unresonable, i too would leave him a neutral feedback
i haven't yet since i put in a dispute but ebay NEVER etracts a feedback especially a neutral one so i might have to pay and go through squaretrade

live with it. there are always idiots who think they live in a perfect world. I received a negative b/c aparently the guy didnt receive the phone fast enough. (he received it on the 4th biz day after he made payment though and USPS attempted delivery on the 3rd biz day after delivery but he wasnt available to sign for it).

he pays me on the night of tuesday, i ship it thursday morning, USPS attempts delivery on Saturday morning (he wasnt available), Monday was national holiday, so he receives the phone on Tuesday and I get a negative feedback (even though i offered him full money back including S&H for returning the phone back to me) blaming me for the delay.

there will always be maniacs...cant do anything about them. Look at the positive side, atleast you got a neutral and not a negative. 😛

Leave him a negative. This will teach him a lesson not to crap around. 99% chance he wont do this ever again if you go this route.

I thought baout leaving him a negative but if i do and somehow he disputes it as a retalatory feedback and gets it taken off i will still be stuck witht he neutral, but then again a friend of mine got a negative from some fraud accoutn who recieved 3 negs and got his account deleted but ebay still would nto remove the neg he posted on my friends account so it might stick

I'd give a negative - just say he kept arguing and wasn't prepared to work with you to resolve problems.

Then just add a comment to the neutral he left you - Complains that battery was supplied discharged. Dangerous to ship charged battery.

Id neg him, reply to the neutral with why you were left a neutral, and youll be fine, as long as youre not a brand new ebay user.

ebay will never intervene in feedback disputes unless you do something like use profanity, addresses/names, or something like that. Just keep it clean and it will always stick.

retalitory feedback is part of the system and ebay won't do anything about it - this is according to their FAQs or something similar. I would definitely leave him a negative simply for being so unwilling to correct the issue and especially for being an unreasonable buyer. You can also explain your neutral in your feedback response. He won't be able to explain how he doesn't deserve a negative for being a jacka$$ (unreasonable buyer) - most people who read your side will agree with you and stay away from him.

I catn reda any moer of yoru posts becaues you dnot taek the tiem to hti your keys ni the rihgt ordre.

meh. Just write it off and move on. IIRC eBay allows you to make a comment to neutral and negative feedback. Just post a quick response as to what happened. Some people are just an ass.

Hey, that's better than the Ebay buyer who left negative feedback because the replacement laptop battery they purchased "put spyware and pop-ups on his computer".
