recieved 2checks in the mail from temp agency!

the first check i got i thought it was my tax refund check from the temp agency. when u work for a temp they handle all your taxes that's why i assumed this. yesterday, i recieved another check and upon closer examination i found it's an actual check!

i go back and look at the first check and yup...it's also a pay check. i haven't cashed out neither of them.

just wondering what you guys think i should do. the greedy side of me wants to cash it out cause the extra money would be nice, it's their fault for messing something like this up. the honest side of me is telling me to call them and correct the mistake.

what do you guys think?

Cash it

no kidding! if i do can they make me pay them back? i dont' see how they can make a mistake like this. when you work for a temp agency you get a time card, each day you need to get ur time card signed off. at the end of the week your supervisor calculates your hours and signs you off once again. then you turned it in and get paid the next week. all your info is on the time card, name, ssn, address...

cash it and put it in an ING account or something but don't spend the money yet. Let interest accrue for awhile, eventually one of two things will happpen:
A) They ask for the money back. You keep the interest
B) You never hear from them.

If you asked this question here, you're looking for justification for doing something you know you shouldn't. Rip it in half before you change your mind and do something you'll regret later.

it says on the check 'void after 90 days' i was planning on holding onto all of them to see how much i recieve.

thats what i'm planning to do. but the ssn part. how do they make that mistake?

If the SSN is right, it must be back pay.

Do what RaynorWolfcastle suggested.

If you have to ask you know its wrong.

Second, they will find out and ask for refund. If you don't pay they will sue.
