Where might one read about rechargable batteries. I have so much stuff that uses batteries.

Remotes, cameras, wii, xbox 360, flash lights, my moms dildo

anyway I have the plan and charge kit and charge station for my 360. However with the addition of the wii. I thought...hmm maybe I should buy the wii charger thing-a-m-bop
then I started thinking why spend 30.00 on that when I can just buy some rechargable batteries.

Well its been along time since Ive used rechargable batteries. I used to have a whole boat load of nicads, I know they have NiMH now and others along with rechargabe alkaline now.

so I wanted to read some reviews.

Remotes and flashlights that are not used frequently should not have rechargables in them. The self-discharge rate of rechargables is much higher than plain alkalines.

I don't have a dedicated battery site bookmarked (although Dan's Data deals with batteries with some regularity), but in general the best advice I can offer is to hit up eBay and buy some cheap, high-capacity NiMH.

Some related info in this thread.

One of the best chargers is a $40 job at amazon that'll charge AAs and has an LED display on each.

But you can buy chargers for far less now.

In regards to self-discharge of NiMH batteries, Sanyo and Rayovac both have some that hold their charge far, far longer than normal NiMHs.

ok but is the recharging stations any better then for these consoles. I mean essentially a charge station for the console is no different than the rechargeable batteries. Ive always heard though that if you leave rechargeable batteries in the charger it ruins them.

Ive heard good and bad about these rechargeable alaklines too.
