Well I am trying to get an idea of what batteries I should buy for my camera. I want to get rechargeable as it would save money in the long run.

I was wondering what you guys have been using and if you like them? Are the higher MAH worth the extra cost over the lower ones?

Radio Shack.
I bought some in 2000 and a few more in 2002.
Only half of the 2000 ones are dead and all of the 2002 AA's are working fine.

Whatever you do, make sure you get a decent charger, like a LaCrosse BC-900. It actually charges, as opposed to the POS that my Sanyo 2500mAh batteries came with.

buy a good smart charger, not a timer based one that murders batteries.
hybrids/precharged are good for if you only occasionally use the camera.
max mah rating if you use it often enough that self discharge doesn't matter.
a fast charger is also nice to have around just in case.

I would tell you to ask Mosh what she used to use before she went back to the cord ones since batteries ran out to fast for her. 😉
