Every company is hurting, from public to non-profit and everything in between
That isn't true, a lot of things are recession-proof.
like?
Power Company
Water Company
how are these recession proof? People use less power if they want to save money; you could say that some people with extremely tight budgets might take measures to save on their water bills also

does the quick Google search include delivery, professional wallmount installation/wiring, and an AV cabinet?

Be careful OP. The next thing you know your boss will call you in and say,
"Due to rising costs your position with the company has been eliminated."

Nope, but for 40K that AV cabinet better be made with the tears of a thousand children.

Pfft, that's nothing. We had a Panasonic 150 inch plasma here recently. There's just something wrong with a TV that is taller than you are. Hell, I couldn't even touch the top of it with my hand while standing on my tiptoes. I was told it cost $80k, but I don't know how accurate that figure is; I would figure it was a lot more.

my company is spending MEGA $$$ on LED light bulbs.
we're going from 13w CFL to 9w LED.
cfl costs ~$1/each, and last 8k hours.
LED lightbulbs cost ~$40 each and 50k hours.
it's more PR about going green than cost savings (which there isnt any, obviously).
i said cfl's are already considered green. i got a blank stare.
