I'm curious what kind of POH (power-on hours) people are seeing in the SMART data for these devices.

I'm wondering about the possibility that these are really "new old stock", being sold as refurb, so as to only have to provide a 6-month warranty for them.

I'll tell you what they are. Since so many OCZ SSDs have failed, they have thousands of them back and factory.. they might have recombined few chips and make some working SSDs out of them.

Wonder why you don't see refurb Samsung or Intel?

I looked at mine earlier today and SMART data claimed it was fresh...

I returned a dead "Vertex 2" and they sent me a refurbished "Solid 3" as a replacement. It was DOA and they exchanged it with a refurbished "Agility 3". I'll not buy any refurbished OCZ SSDs.

The last two I bought had 300gb and 12 power on hours on them. They were both purchased at separate times.

Installed mine last night, transferred my Battlefield 4 install folder, it is night and day.

Multiplayer game used to take me 2-3 minutes to load. With this SSD 40-50 seconds.

Before SSD my team would have controlled 2-3 control points by the time I would spawn.

Now I noticed I would be one of the first one to spawn, usually only 2-3 people with me.

Should have done this along time. Never had this load time delay before in CS source.

Now I hope it lasts.

I have a 120gb Samsung SSD for my OS drive.

Yikes. Have Vertex Plus 120GB I bought last spring in that same old PC (boot drive). It was new with a 3 year warranty. Guess I'm on my own if it takes a dump (but so far its been perfect).
