My thoughts exactly...not to mention DealyDo was also able to exchange a demo model for a brand new camera at another store.

 
OK OK but look at the positive thing here. There's many posts here regarding stacking coupons, price-matching etc. I may not try it but I like to know if it's posible due to some store's policy. I don't flame the guy.

I posted this deal with $285.00 as the price not $231.00. Regarding the $50 discount I received, I think it never hurts to ask about additional discounts for demo goods. In fact, some demo goods should be discounted more due to missing parts etc. This seems to be the policy for Office Depot. I believe most times the sales staff will put the clearance stuff out with the corporate generated clearance sticker and never inspect it for completeness or condition so I point it out on occasion. I thought it was good info for others to know since it may be indicative of store policy on clearance items at office Depot. But I guess the you guys decide what's pertinent info around here.

- 15.00 (take in the old discount and ask for one of the $15 off chrismas bonus cards that they have stacked high on the register, or buy a bag of rubber bands and ask for one..Be creative)
$281.00
-$50.00 (never hurts to ask cause something's missing or it's a demo discount, too complicated or bothersome for some)
231.00 (possible net price for some but not everyone, $281 for the discount asking challenged)

But i'll stick to my original post which was $5 too high due to my bad math.
 
i bought the same digital camera, but it was $349 in local newspaper ad, so i called and ordered it over the phone for in store pickup.Here is what happend:

Original price= $349
Coupon $50 of $250 and it comes to : $299 + $26.40 of tax = $276.39 ( you ask what kind of math is that, shoot me if i know, i got invoice with camera and thats how i got billed for it.I have no idea how i got to the price that it is, but i thats what it says and thats what i got charged for...GO figure.)
 
the cat's out of the bag! o well 🙂 was hoping to get one for $160 like the 3000 a few months ago.

I got that camera from Office Depot too.... but even cheaper...

299.99
-50.00 (because it was demo)
-50.00 (because it was missing cable and 16 mb card)


Out the door, it was 216.00 including tax.... =) !!!

I ended up going to another office depot and changing it for another one (NEW ONE) and the lady gave me the cable too!

so I ended up with a nEW Olympus 3020 for $216.00 after tax!


Office depot is known for cutting the price down a lot for demos.... and btw.. the demo was fine...
There's a coupon right now $15 off $75 purchase... It comes in a gift card form.. (business card size) YMMV on how they give them out.. the local office depot was giving them out like candy for any purchase at all on thanksgiving day..
 
i got the same deal for a sealed box from office max PM. Finding an office depot with a floor model available to purchase is probably harder.

OOS at all the ODs in So. Cal. And it seems as if most of them have never carried the camrea, at least not for a long time. They do appear to have the C-4000 though.

Yep, same here, no info on that sku whatsoever.. Darn it..🙁 I paid 320 bucks for it and if i can find ONE SINGLE store in usa that has that digicam cheaper i can pricematch within 14 days.
 
officemax wont pricematch claming its ON SALE CLEARANCE ITEM.and there isnt any in State of Washington .Man i feel like total idiot paying 320 bucks for something that can be bought for 180...damn it..

One thing I noticed was that all the stores are out of this model and nobody carries it anymore, so I didn't know where to pricematch it to. But I just noticed that Compusa does still carry this model and they seem to have them in good supply. The only thing worrying me is Compusa's emphasis on "local" competitor pricing, so they may not accept a receipt from 500 miles away. But I'm going to give this one a try.

 
For All of u with this cam.. have u check it out.. i use the SQ feature at high quailty but it comes out blurry.. if not blurry.. not sharp! wassup with that? It looks aight but come on 3 mega pix should be better than that... bottom line.. anyone who has this cam... can u tell me how to get that sharpness?
