Several things have happened recently to shake up the processor industry.

1. Microsoft will be porting Big Windows (and office) to ARM
2. Nvidia announced Project Denver
3. Dirk Meyer has resigned. (I can't believe it.)
4. Nvidia and Intel announced Deal to trade technologies (Intel to get Nvidia GPU IP for Sandy Bridge successors and Nvidia to get $1.5 Billion and Intel IP for Project Denver)

Furthermore, Google's ARM Tablet OS is looking very strong.

Thoughts on what is happening?

How will AMD, Intel and Nvidia position themselves in the coming years?

I don't own a single Apple product, but I have to say, Apple understands how to make an appealing mass market piece of electronics better than anyone else. Apple is not going anywhere, until Jobs dies then who knows.

Intel gpu's have been steadily improving. The idea of an integrated gpu that is enough for all but hardcore gamers is starting to look real.

none of this looks good for AMD. I have had an AMD in my rig since K-6 and want to see them regain a better standing in the market, but none of these are going to help them.
