Recent Counter-Strike Source benchmarks?

I really think more sites should benchmark popular games like CSS on low-end current hardware, especially for laptops (Intel's new DX9 chipsets, GeForce Go 61/200, Go 7100, etc). Any mid-range (I'm counting 8600GT in mid-range) card today will easily run CSS with max/near-max settings at high resolutions.

It is hard to bench CS:S because custom, unoptimized maps take way more resources than standard maps.

neothe0ne - start bugging companies to give you hardware for testing and make your own web site for these kids of benchmarks? Or submit benches to popular sites?

With all the settings at their highest and the resolution at 1280x1024 I got 187.1fps on the stress test the other day using the then beta 169.25 driver on my evga 8800gts 512.

Cant believe this m8, how much 8600GTS is faster than old Radeon 9800XT then?

I actually were getting pretty nice numbers in stress test as well, but when it comes to gameplay i had about 40-60 fps.

I got a Pentium 4 prescott 1mb 533 bus and i have a BFG fx5500 256mb pci and i can run consistent 60fps in 1152X864 resolution.......Who needs 300fps or 1280x1024... pci baby

Btw there is console option cl_showfps 2 i think that will show minimal fps 100 fps [(70fps) -minimal FPS since you turned option on], can some of you guy's try play on loaded server with it on and see what you minimal fps was and how soon its dropped under 60? You can reset it by cl_showfps 0 and back on at cl_showfps 2
