The only sad thing is your brand whore loyalism. The Pioneer 1014 is an awesome receiver for the price.

I've listened to it. There are better receivers for similar pricing offered by all 3 of the companies I mentioned above. And don't forget, this is based on MY LISTENING PREFERENCE.

Just because my preference happens to be shared by many many people doesn't make it right though, I guess......

Edit: Oops. That's not a receiver...I like my Yamaha.

IIRC, Yamaha invented Dolby Surround Sound. I could be terribly wrong though.

Calling the 1014tx a pos is a bold statement considering its specs, tested power, and loads of features your suggestion lacks.

Saying its a pos because you didn't personally like the way it sounds is pretty harsh.
