Receipt anyone?

Looking for a cash receipt to either Bestbuy or CompUSA for the full retail version of Microsoft Office XP Professional. I lost the original and cannot take it back without a receipt. It is the retail version still in the original plastic tub and I feel very moronic right now. I just burned 2 garbage bags full of old paperwork, bank statements, and receipts. I think my receipt is nothing more than ashes. I live in oregon but I doubt it matters where the receipt is from as long as it's a store I have access to and the receipt is not more than 30 days old. I would consider monetary compensation to the person that can help me out. I am desperately in need of this.

I have sent an e-mail to the moderator to ask if this post is allowed and I have yet to get a resonse or a thread lock. Though I feel it is an appropriate question to ask in the off topic forum I will await word from the moderator as I have already explained to them that I was unsure if this was or was not allowed. So for all you thread crappers who are probably just getting real jobs take note that I am bringing it to their attention because I am not afraid to admit a mistake when I make it.

PS what sounds like a poor excuse to you is my reality. You have free will to say whatever you want but it's my problem. You don't have to like it and maybe you could have bought it cheaper. I am very happy for all of you.

doesn't the barcode # on the receipt correspond with the barcode on the box?

and i don't think they accept returns on software, only exchanges

how about try going to store A and buying a copy, then photocopying your receipt and return it at store B. Then return the other one to store A a week later?

Some of you must have been born comedians. I may be new to the forums but I am not new to those who are polite and those that are rude. I am also familiar with thread crapping which some of you are guilty of. Maybe you feel better because you found another post to make another useless statement in so you could increase your posts to achieve a higher membership status. Well your age does not matter here, grandpa. The fact of the matter is that you are asking for a receipt to probably return a stolen good. That isn't allowed here. I'm sure the mods will flip their lids when they read this and find you trying to "look" for a receipt. I have seen threads locked because of this before.
