Reccommend a DVD to get for a friend!

I'm doing this little secret santa gift exchange thing with a group of friends this year, and I have to get something around $15 for someone. I know he has a bunch of movies, but there is really no way for me to find what he's got in his collection, and we aren't allowed to disclose who we have 😉. I need some suggestions for good movies! Open to just about anything, as long as it isn't a big DVD set or anything.

Hes one of those guys that likes things from just about every category, so it is very hard for me to give a concrete list of his favorite movies. This dilemma is the reason for me posting this 😀
I just want some random suggestions before I go out to Best Buy this evening.
 
Buy something that is coming out right now. I think league of extraordinary gentlemen and pirates of the carribean are two recent release dvds.
