Reccomendations for Component Cable?

Personally, I cant justify spending that much more on a capable that really does not appear to make a difference. But, I guess Monster cables are the way to go if you are willing to spend the extra money. Dont think they would cost quite that much though.

How do you know another cable with give you a better picture? The one from Comcast did great for me. I changed it out for a HDMI cable though, and I dont notice any difference in quality, or sound.

Yeah, you probably won't notice an improvement by buying new component cables unless there's something physically wrong with the ones you have. I'd strongly recommend buying an HDMI cable instead. I ordered a DVI to HDMI cable and a HDMI to DVI adapter for $16 from monoprice.com a few days ago. Put them together and they form a normal male-male HDMI cable, but I can also take them apart and hook my PC up using DVI.

PC World did a round-up of component cables IIRC. Their conclusion was it's a waste of money. (for Monster Cable)

Monster cable (not to mention the multi-hundred or multi-thousand dollar cables that audiophiles buy) will only improve the quality of the picture in your mind, unless there is something seriously wrong with your current cables. With that said, if you want the best cable for peace of mind purposes without spending an insane amount of money on snake oil, get Belden or another high quality professional brand of wire and make your own.

I would not spend more than $20 for a 6 footer.
Site like www.pccables.com has them for the cheap as well as good. I use 'em all the time for most of my pc/audio/video cable needs.
